Week 64 - Turkey Week

This week was Thanksgiving, and all the Americans in the zone celebrated in the visitor's house in true Mexican style. With tacos. We ordered 1.5 kilos of taco meat for the five Americans and the one Guatamalan who were there.

We also celebrated in our English Class with pumpkin pie. Not many people here knew why we celebrate thanksgiving, or why tortillas aren't on the menu.

Week 63 - Normal Week

Between Altavista and San Antón
Hey guys. Not much really cool stuff happened this week. Sorry. There have to be less eventful weeks so that the eventful ones really pack a punch.

I went on divisions to an area called Vista Hermosa this week. I went with elder Oliva, an elder that got here at the same time as me!

WE had interviews and a multi-zone conference this week too. I love getting the whole zone together and talking with president. President gave me some really good information about how to magnify my calling as a Zone Leader, and what is expected of me.

Week 62 - Atzinger

We had a good week this week. Not a lot to talk about, honestly. This area is pretty small. We end up just going to the same places all the time, because we only have like ten colonias. But it's fun. Elder Schmitz likes to have fun, and we're finding some good people. I hope we can keep it up.

The two biggest parts of our area are called Altavista and San Anton, but in order to get from one to the other, you can pay money, or go down 150 stairs, then go up 237 stairs. We take a lot of busses.

Week 61 - Sorry to make you wait...

...but I extended the time I'm gonna be out. See you Sept. 30th.

This week with Elder Schmitz has been super fun. We got money for the food on tuesay so we grilled hambergers on our makeshift grill. We got talking about metal and decided to copper plate an oil vial we found. you can see the results in the picture below.

My area is called Atzingo. I'm in the north part of Cuernavaca this time, and It's definitely a lot colder. i can finally start using that jacket I bought. Our area has a lot of hills, and is pretty small actually. We have a lot of area we can't even use. We stick to the same streets pertty often. Luckily, i have come to this area 3 or four times for divisions with the Zone Leaders, so a lot of people know me already. It's been pretty cool seeing people that I had taught in divisions that are now members of the church. I think I'll like this ward. It's also the only building in the mission with a real organ!
