Week 42 - A Proud Father

12 Weeks training Elder Rivas went by fast!  He is moving on.

June 25

This week, we found some great new investigators named Jorge and Nayeli, and even though they couldn't come to church this week, that doesn't mean they aren't progressing. They're doing awesome! And they're already married, which is a huge thing here. Nobody likes to get married for real here.

We had 2 investigators at church this week, and we have a baptism on Saturday. It's practically a free baptism, but it is one nonetheless.  We're rocking it.
Three generations

Elder Rivas and I got a call for the Assistants on wednesday, saying that Elder Rivas was gonna train! Right after his training. We thought he was going to stay in Burgos and I would go, but he's going to go open area in Acapulco. I'll be chilling here another change. Heck, one more, and I'll hit the year mark without ever leaving the Zone.

The mission is officially too dangerous for female, american missionaries. All the ones that were coming in are getting changed, and the Hermanas here, who knows what'll happen to them. They might get transfered soon, or they might just stay here in Cuernavaca the whole time.

I'm doing fine. Please don't feel sad for me because i've been here a while. I like it here, and it's just beginning to cool down and rain a lot more. If there's any time to be in Cuerna, it's right now. I'm doing just great.

I'm with my new Companion, named Elder Covarrubias! He's from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, México. He's in the same generation as Elder Rivas, and he just finished his training. He's ready to get some work in. Lets Go!

I really like the story of Daniel in the Bible about how much faith it would have taken to tell the king, not only his dream, but the interpretaion thereof, with out any kind of confirmation until after he had given it. It was possible he was wrong, but he wasn't worried about that. He only wanted to do what God wanted. And that's all that matters. It has helped me a lot to find the faith to do exactly what God wants.

Thanks for everything! Love you!
See you next week!
