Week 39- Ups and Downs

First of all, Happy birthday to the #1 Guy, Logan Bee! Have a great one, pal!
(Happy birthday to Bethany also)

This week we worked really hard, honestly. We put members in every lesson we could. We brought people all over the place. We set goals and plans with almost all of our investigators, and we were expecting maybe 7 or 8 people in the church. And no one showed up. We passed by for a few of them, and none of them decided to come. They all had made other plans or had left already for something else. It was really difficult, especially because we felt like we had worked harder this week than any other week together. We've made some plans to improve still, but man it's really disappointing when things don't happen the way you thought they would.

This week we went on Divisions with the Elders in Temixco, and I got to say hi to a bunch of familiar faces, and also a bunch of new ones. I went with an Elder from the Dominican Republic named Elder Vargas. We went to lunch with one of my converts from there named Esteban. It was a really good day.

Elder Rivas really is awesome. He helps me out a lot, and is super pacient with me, with everything really. His English is coming along really well, and he says my Spanish is really good sometimes, and other times he has no Idea what I'm saying. I think I'd get a solid "B-" right now. Not bad if I do say so myself. He says he really wants to try all the American food I've been talking about, like Mountain Dew, Cosmic Brownies, and Milks of different flavors.

We're having a lot of fun here. It's really, really hot, but its good. I've had lots of members call me "Élder Camarón" because I look like a Shrimp, I'm so toasted. I hope it gets just a little more bearable.
I finished my bottle collection

Love you guys lots! I really liked Sections 130-132 in D&C this week. It helped me learn a lot about my purpose as a missionary, and God's purpose for us.

Hasta Luego!
-Elder Scott
