Week 82 - Meeting Goals

Hamburgers with Elder Riley,
Haun, and Suarez(taking the picture)
with Hna Yari.
Sorry for no email last week. I had a lot of other things pulling me away.

Last week we had Consejo de Liderazgo, for all the leaders. It was super fun, and the assistants gave a great training about how to contact more effectively, and president is making his goals very clear. They told us they want every area to find 6 new people in a week. Well, this week as a zone, we found 65 people(the current mission record for the year) and found 7.2 people per area. We're pretty proud of our zone for it, and I'm sure they're happy about it too. I see some great stuff going on here.

We taught two really great people this week. One was named erick, and he's completely agnostic(a pretty rare sight to see, someone who is openly agnostic) and we taught him about Joseph smith's first prayer, and how he could talk directly with God if he desired to. He speaks english, and so he asked us halfway through the lesson if we could give the rest of the lesson in English, which thus proved my point that I would be a way more powerful missionary in English. He called us a few times to make sure he was going to pray correctly. Sadly, we didn't see him at church, and he lives in Cuernavaca, in my old area Atzingo, actually. We're gonna try to stay in contact with him.
Pizza hut today (Elder Bradshaw treated me)

This week, a sister in the ward wh lived in Pleasant Grove invited us and the Elders in Obrera to hamburgers. We were talking a lot of English there, eating hamburgers and hot dogs. It's the only food that people here think we eat back home.

We played soccer today as a zone, and we had a good time, even though there were very few of us.

I love the mission. I'm glad I'm here. Don't count down the days, because not even I do that.
