Divisions with Elder Rodriguez |
I got to go with my old companion on Thursday, and it was a super good time. He's got a little over a year now, and that's crazy. When he was with me, he barely had three months! We had a fun day in Insurgentes. We got a new person in teaching with baptismal date, and it was super good. We talked about some difficulties they were having and we set some good goals with them. They're gonna be killing it out there.
On Saturday, I went on divisions in my area with Elder Rodriguez. He has 4 months in the mission, and suprised me with his maturity and power as he taught. We taught a guy named Gabino, and he's super spiritual. He practically understands the entire gospel of Christ without having the Book of Mormon. He says he studies by faith and by book. He really like the idea of the Book of Mormon.
Elder Rodriguez is a really fun missionary, and I hope I get to be his companion one day. He's an awesome dude, and he's really into jazz music. He plays the guitar and the upright bass. Cool stuff.
Welcome to Chilpo |
On Sunday, Nolberta came up again for church, and she said she loved it. She has a few health issues that make it hard to come to church, but she likes this one a lot more than the one in her town. She pays 85-ish pesos for she and her granddaughter to come to church and go back every Sunday, but she really likes this one. We're working hard to get her baptized on the 13th of April.
I'm excited for General Conference. I love the opportunity to hear from living prophets.
Love yall!
-Elder Scott
