Week 59 - Jardín and Rainy days.

So. I'm going to be honest. Number-wise, this has been one of the worst weeks of my mission. In the last 7 days, we've had maybe a day and a half we could work here because of rain. But I'm having a pretty fun time.

I've had time this week to practice piano, something I hardly ever get to do; we started an English class, and that was actually pretty fun; and today, to celebrate Elder Ortiz's(My trainer's) last P-day, we had a waterballoon fight. We had a pretty decent time.
Migue with Elder Zetten

Every Wednesday, we go out on Divisions with a kid in the branch named Migue, and he's really funny. He's 17 and he's preparing to go out on the mission next year. We went out with him this week, and it's honestly like everyone knows him. Literally everyone talks to Migue. Everyone.

Thursday it rained so hard we couldn't do much. Too bad we were a ten minute run outside the town when it started raining really hard. We got to the church soaking wet, and stayed there until it stopped raining 3 hours later. It happened again on Friday.  (See the video with this post).

We went to and area called Jardín twice this week. They're in my district, and I went to do a baptismal interview. The whole place is just hills and great views. I bought something called chilate, which is practically water with cocoa. It tastes better in Acapulco than in Atoyac.

We're just hoping for some changes this week. We're putting in the work, but not getting the results we're hoping for.

I'll try to get some pics from the water balloon fight.

su servidor,
Elder Scott
