Chillin' at the hospital after the Tacos Al Pastor Incident |
We had one day of work, on Tuesday. We went with this member named André Aguirre, who is preparing to leave for the Buenos Aires [quiensabe] and he's been helping us out a lot in finding and teaching investigators. Oh, and his dad is the bishop, so we do a lot with his family.
But André took us out for tacos al pastor, and we ordered a kilo of meat for aur tacos. It was awesome. I ate probably 15 tacos with greasy salsa verde and it was great. But while we were walking home, I didn't feel so great. We stopped by the fire department to get my blood checked, and I had really low blood pressure.
Tacos al Pastor with Hermano André! |
They told me to get a lot of sleep and my blood pressure should level out. But the next morning, we had to be in Civac (and hour away) at 7:30 in the morning for our multiZone conference. I called Hna. Ávila, and she said that I should sleep, and show up when I can. Well, the next morning, I threw up all the taco meat we had eaten. I've never seen so much orange, nor do I wish to do so again. I went to the Hospital, and they drugged me up and made the sickness go away. I have to take a ton of pills, and I had to take 3 days of rest. That sucked. We just sat in the house studying. One can only study so much. So we really didn't do much this week. Hopefully this week goes a little smoother.

But Elder Rivas had never seen rain until this week. He loved it until he realized it was cold. Then he hated it. If you guys have any Aerosmith or Guns n Roses covers of hymns, he's dying for them.
Love you guys! and Alma 29 is a great example of humility and love! Have fun with that one. See you next week, hopefully with more to say.
Oh Gabe! You are certainly getting the complete Mexico experience. Hope this is a one time thing-- but it probably won't be.
