Week 14 - Divisions and Christmas

These ceramic skulls are called calaveres
So, this week I spent a lot of time in Cuerna. Monday, we spent a lot of time in centro, buying Little things, and going to the Tianguis there. I bought a jacket, because it gets cold in the morning, and at night.

Tuesday, we had a visit with a family that's progressing really well. All the kids are 12 and under, and they're super cool. It makes me think about the Little kid I have back home, who always seemed super Young. To my sister: you're older than you seem.

This family is doing great, and they love thim missionaries. Whenever we think something is going to be hard to talk about, like Chastity, or the Word of Wisdom, they say that they already live in such a way, or that it is something they'll start doing with no hesitation. It's awesome. They couldn't come to church this week, but they really are progressing well, and they are excited to progress.
Thursday, I went on divisions with The Zone leaders. They're cool, but I still don't understand the language that well, so it was pretty whatever.

Friday was our christmas Conference. We played White Elephant, and it was pretty fun. Me and one of the Secretaries ended up taking one for the team, because we got the worst gifts. I got a Little gross doll, and he got a pair of Kid's shoes. It was super frustrating at the time, but it's kinda whatever now. I gave the doll to an hermana that goes home next week. I had no use for it.

Saturday, we couldn't do much, and a lot of our day was traveling.

Sunday we spent the whole day at church, so not a ton went down either.

It's been quite an experience for me, and with Christmas coming so close, It makes me think about you guys at home a lot. How much I miss Singing in Madrigals for Christmas, or Playing Greensleeves every Winter band concert, or doing gift exchanges witht the fam. I miss all that, and next Christmas probably won't be any easier, but I'm loving what we're doing here. The time goes by realatively quick, so Who knows?

Merry Christmas, Vosotros!
